Locality Social Worker – Children’s Services

About the role

As a Locality Social Worker in Children’s Services you will deliver statutory and targeted early‑help services to children and young people who need support, protection and care across Buckinghamshire. You will hold case responsibility, work closely with families, schools and multi‑disciplinary teams, and develop support, protection and care plans tailored to each child’s assessed needs.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake statutory social work assessments.
• Establish rapport and build relationships with children and young people.
• Monitor and review the impact of support, protection and care plans.
• Maintain all necessary records and documentation.

Required profile

• Recognised social work qualification and active registration with Social Work England.
• Demonstrable experience working directly with vulnerable children and young people.
• Experience partnering with parents, carers and multi‑disciplinary professionals.
• Working knowledge of relevant legislative, procedural and theoretical frameworks for children and families.
