Locum Planning & Highways Lawyer

About the role
Sellick Partnership is recruiting a qualified legal professional to work on a locum basis for Surrey County Council. The role starts as soon as possible and can be performed fully remotely, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a standard local authority planning caseload.
- Provide legal advice on highways matters.
- Handle issues relating to minerals and waste.
- Support the council with planning and infrastructure decisions.
Required profile
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales.
- Significant post‑qualification experience in legal practice.
- Experience in planning law for a county council is advantageous.

- Fully remote working can be accommodated.
- Full‑time hours with flexibility (minimum three days per week).
- 3‑6 month rolling contract, likely to extend.
- Salary negotiable based on experience.
