Logistics Agent – Customer Service & Inventory Management

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Agent to join our Manchester site. The role combines customer‑facing service with inventory control, financial oversight and transport planning, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Support site management with compliance, health & safety, inventory and financial duties.
• Conduct daily safety walk‑abouts, record observations and near‑misses, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Place delivery and collection orders using SAP and handle inbound/outbound customer calls via Salesforce.
• Receive, record and control stock movements, perform physical counts and update the system.
• Raise and receive purchase orders, monitor stock levels and manage daily aborts, cancellations and returns.
• Assist drivers with daily run reviews, printing loading sheets, manifests and tracking via telematics.
• Maintain general housekeeping and support overall site logistics.
