Logistics Level 1 Operative – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

You will join Prestwick Aerosystems' site logistics team, supporting the production of aircraft wing structures for Airbus programmes. In a regulated aerospace environment you will ensure that materials are received, stored, and issued accurately to meet production and customer delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, movement, storage and shipment of material in line with the Master Production Schedule.
• Accept and reject deliveries according to SO2 approvals, verify purchase orders, certifications and authorised signatories, and place non‑conforming items in impound.
• Carry out weekly cycle counts and quarterly stock checks, maintaining accurate records across stores, work‑in‑progress and system data.
• Perform ERP (SAP) transactions to keep material status, location and traceability compliant with company, CAA and SOX requirements.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of logistics processes such as goods receipt, inventory control, material handling and dispatch.
• Ability to use ERP systems (SAP) to record stock movements, locations, WIP and material status.
• SVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or working towards it.
• Approval, or ability to obtain approval, to operate relevant logistical equipment (forklift, crane) as required by the site.
