Logistics & Transport Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Logistics / Transport Administrator to support our fast‑paced transport and distribution operation in Tilbury. The role involves coordinating deliveries, managing documentation and providing excellent service to internal teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Book deliveries and collections with customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate vehicle schedules and liaise with drivers.
• Prepare and process transport documentation such as delivery notes, manifests and proof of delivery.
• Update internal systems and track shipments.
• Handle customer queries and provide status updates.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and transport regulations.
• Provide general administrative support to the logistics team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics, transport or general administration (preferred but not essential).
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑moving environment.
• Attention to detail and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS) is desirable.
