Maintenance Engineer – Production Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation in Didcot. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and keep output running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on various production machines.
• Work closely with the production team to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety legislation and standards.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.
• Perform regular inspections, servicing and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain secure‑room equipment, including pipe work, gas lines, pressure systems and rotary machinery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to undertake IRATA rope‑access training (provided).
