Maintenance, Grounds & Driver Staff

About the role

Join Westmorland School in Chorley as a Maintenance, Grounds and Driver staff member. You will help keep the school environment safe, functional and welcoming for pupils and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day repairs and routine maintenance across the school building.
• Drive and maintain school vehicles, ensuring they are road‑worthy and serviced.
• Maintain the school grounds, gardens and outdoor areas to a tidy standard.
• Interact with pupils in a friendly manner and receive safeguarding training.

Required profile

• Basic maintenance experience or a willingness to learn practical repair tasks.
• Valid UK driving licence and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a school team.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
