Male SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Temp to Perm)

About the role

This full‑time position supports secondary‑aged pupils with special educational needs in a specialist SEN school in Charlton, Greenwich. The role is initially temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for pupils with autism, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Assist with behaviour regulation and keep pupils engaged in lessons.
• Support delivery of adapted learning activities and promote independence.
• Maintain a structured, routine‑focused classroom environment.
• Carry out personal care duties as required.

Required profile

• Experience working with children, young people or in a care/support setting.
• A calm, firm and consistent approach to behaviour management.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to full‑time work and ongoing professional development.
