Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join a growing construction business in Runcorn. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide financial insight, support strategic decisions and help improve finance and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and board reports
• Forecast cash flow and manage working capital
• Analyse financial performance across projects and business units
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to deliver commercial insights
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance
• Develop and strengthen financial controls and processes
• Provide commercial insight to support future growth plans

Required profile

• Ambitious, proactive finance professional comfortable in a fast‑paced operational environment
• Part‑qualified or newly qualified CIMA or ACCA
• Previous experience in the construction sector is desirable
• Strong management‑accounting and business‑partnering experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Commercial mindset with a hands‑on approach
• Confidence to challenge, influence and drive positive change
