Finance Manager

About the role

ReAgent Chemical Services is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in leading and developing its finance function. This full‑time, on‑site position will oversee day‑to‑day finance operations and provide commercial insight to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the finance team.
• Manage daily finance operations, including reconciliations, ledger management and cash‑flow reporting.
• Prepare management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Oversee debtors, creditors, credit control and payment processes.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve stock management, margins and profitability.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support year‑end external audits and deputise for the Finance Director when required.

Required profile

• Previous Finance Manager or similar experience in an SME manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• AAT qualified, part‑qualified or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent finance experience.
