Management Accountant – Financial Control & Reporting

About the role

The client is seeking a Management Accountant who will own financial control and reporting, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will maintain financial accuracy, drive month‑end processes and turn data into actionable insights within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake financial administration including month‑end journals.
• Take ownership of pre‑payment and accrual management.
• Oversee accuracy of AR, AP, general ledgers and inventories.
• Prepare monthly financial documents, budgets and forecasts.
• Perform inter‑company reconciliations.
• Measure company performance based on financial records.
• Handle quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations.
• Identify problem areas and present recommendations to management.
• Assist internal and external audits throughout the year.
• Evaluate and monitor financial information systems, recommending improvements.
• Communicate and interpret financial data to non‑financial managers.
• Carry out other ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong experience in management accounting and month‑end processes.
• Proven ability to prepare management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
• Good understanding of P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the wider finance team.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative personality.
• Ability to commute to Weybridge three days a week.

• Full‑time 24‑month fixed‑term contract with high possibility of extension.
