Management Accountant – Luxury Retail

About the role

The globally recognised luxury retail brand is seeking a Management Accountant to drive financial performance and support strategic decision‑making. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Retail, you will work closely with directors, department heads and finance professionals to ensure accurate reporting and variance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end financial accounting, including journal posting and adherence to strict deadlines.
• Analyse monthly performance against budget, forecast and prior year, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Produce cost‑centre reports, challenge variances and flag overspends.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and the FP&A team to develop detailed annual budgets (P&L and Balance Sheet).
• Lead budget meetings, engaging directors and department heads to align financial planning with business needs.
• Maintain accurate monthly forecasts and communicate any overspends or underspends.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis, cost‑benefit reviews and support for budget re‑allocations.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Preferably experience in a Big‑4 or top‑tier accounting firm.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence senior management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
