Management Accountant (Real Estate Investment)

About the role

This position offers a newly qualified accountant the chance to work within a leading real estate investment firm, focusing on the financial operations of property development entities. You will gain deep exposure to real estate investment and development while supporting a dynamic finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage management accounts for multiple real estate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct detailed financial reviews, post month‑end and quarter‑end journals, and support variance analysis.
• Collaborate with asset and project managers to produce forecasts and upload financial data for group reporting.
• Handle development property cost coding, reporting, and analysis aligned with project budgets.
• Manage VAT and CIS returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to HMRC.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide data for year‑end audits and tax computations.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Experience in real estate investment, property management accounting, or a practice background with hands‑on management accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and detail‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite or Yardi.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance.
