Management & Statutory Accounts Manager – Top 20 Firm

About the role

We are seeking a Manager to lead the preparation and review of management and statutory accounts for a top‑20 UK accountancy practice. The role combines advisory work, cloud‑based software migration and hands‑on accounting for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve monthly/quarterly management accounts, consolidated accounts and statutory accounts.
• Oversee preparation of corporation tax, VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments.
• Provide advisory services using cloud accounting platforms, including migrations from legacy systems.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, budgets and financial models for complex clients.
• Manage ad‑hoc projects and maintain client relationships across sectors such as property, technology, financial services and renewable energy.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable practice.
• Proven experience preparing both management and statutory accounts.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP (FRS 101, FRS 102, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to work from home at least two days per week.
