Mandarin Speaking Assistant – Customer Due Diligence (Glasgow)

About the role

This permanent position is based in Glasgow and focuses on supporting the bank's Customer Due Diligence (CDD) function. The role requires fluent Mandarin and English communication to handle client queries, promote bank products and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer queries and implement contact strategies.
• Identify sales opportunities and cross‑sell relevant products.
• Assist with ongoing CDD reviews, process new account applications, closures and changes.
• Maintain and develop long‑term customer relationships.
• Support marketing of bank products in local commercial markets.
• Provide MI reporting and KPI tracking for the team.
• Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate projects with 2nd and 3rd line of defence and perform ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Proven track record in a similar business stream.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of retail banking products and processes preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, marketing and sales abilities.
• Excellent communication in both English and Mandarin.
• Team player with high attention to detail.
