Mandarin‑Speaking Graduate Treasury Settlement Officer – Energy

About the role

This graduate position supports the Treasury function within the Finance department of an energy‑focused organisation. Reporting to the Deputy Finance Manager, you will handle daily cash movements, bank reconciliations and related accounting entries while developing your expertise in treasury operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and record all payments, receipts, loans, discounting and cash movements in SAP.
• Prepare and upload payment documents and bank notices, ensuring compliance with SSI records and avoiding duplicate payments.
• Record foreign‑exchange transactions, update FX sheets and generate related payment documentation.
• Monitor margin call movements, produce corresponding payment files and verify daily closing balances against policy.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements with SAP cash balances and investigate any variances.
• Support ad‑hoc treasury analysis and act as backup for quarterly SOX testing and other treasury reporting duties.
• Liaise with banks, counterparties and internal teams to resolve payment issues and manage account opening/closing requests.

Required profile

• Native‑level spoken and written Mandarin, fluent English.
• Graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities; experience in number‑focused roles is advantageous.
• Accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is desirable but not mandatory.
