Mandarin‑Speaking Junior Assistant – Customer Service (Banking)

About the role

This junior position supports a retail banking branch in London, providing Mandarin‑language customer service and helping to drive sales of the bank’s products. The role combines front‑office interaction with operational tasks to ensure smooth branch performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales interviews, identify customer needs and recommend suitable banking products.
• Open individual and corporate accounts while completing KYC compliance requirements.
• Handle inbound calls, emails, letters and manage the open counter during banking‑hall shifts.
• Support the Review team by liaising with customers to gather required information.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, internal controls and bank policies at all times.
• Work occasional Sunday opening shifts when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Relevant experience in customer‑service roles, preferably within retail banking or financial services.
• Native‑level Mandarin and strong English communication skills.
• Attention to detail, highly organised and a team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
