Manufacturing Operative & FLT Driver

About the role

Join a well‑established paper manufacturing business in Cheltenham as a Manufacturing Operative & FLT Driver. You will support production by moving raw materials, stock and finished goods across the site, ensuring a smooth flow of materials and maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supply raw materials to production areas.
• Move stock, materials and finished products safely throughout the site.
• Load and unload deliveries and assist with stock control, inventory checks and rotation.
• Maintain accurate stock records and production documentation.
• Support warehouse and production teams with day‑to‑day operational tasks.
• Operate FLT equipment where qualified and trained.

Required profile

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse or materials handling.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
• Own transport due to site location.
• Willingness to undertake FLT training if required.

Required skills

• Forklift (FLT) operation – licence desirable but not essential.

What we offer

• Competitive starting rate of £15.91 per hour, rising to £16.13 after permanent placement.
• Temp‑to‑perm contract with the possibility of a permanent role after a 12‑week trial.
• Shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off (2 days, 2 nights) with 12‑hour shifts.
