Marine Claims Technician

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Lloyds broker for a motivated Marine Claims Technician to join a dynamic team in London. This position is ideal for a 2nd‑jobber with 1‑3 years of claims experience who wants to progress within the marine insurance sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage marine claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Coordinate with brokers, underwriters and third‑party service providers.
• Support senior colleagues on complex cases across multiple marine sub‑classes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate claim documentation and correspondence.
• Assist in the analysis of claim trends and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in marine, transport or broader insurance claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Willingness to develop expertise across various marine sub‑classes.
