Mathematics Teacher – Full‑time Temporary in East London

About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Mathematics Teacher for a Good‑rated secondary school in Newham, East London. The role is full‑time on a temporary contract covering the remainder of the academic year, with the majority of teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Prepare teaching resources, set and mark assessments, and provide feedback.
- Maintain accurate pupil records and contribute to progress reports.
- Participate in parents’ evenings and departmental meetings.
- Engage in the school’s continuous professional development programme.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience teaching mathematics in the UK.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
