Mathematics Teacher – Secondary (KS3/4) – Greenwich

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Mathematics teachers to provide day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term cover across secondary schools in Greenwich, South East London. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 (with optional KS5) from September 2025, on a flexible basis ranging from one to five days per week, either part‑time or full‑time.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality mathematics lessons for KS3/KS4 pupils.
- Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings and school events as required.
- Maintain full involvement in the department, acting as a permanent staff member.
Required profile
- Good‑class degree (preferably in Mathematics, though not essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching in a secondary school or working with young people.
- Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
- Up‑to‑date Prevent awareness training (issued within the last three years).
- Right to work in the UK.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive daily rate from £150 or salary aligned to the teaching scale.
- Full‑time hours: 8:15 am – 4:00 pm.
- Annual salary range £36,000 – £56,000.
