Mechanical Design Engineer – New Product Development

About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our forward‑thinking New Product Development team in Gloucester. You will work on innovative fluid technology and pump systems, contributing from concept through to finished product while using the latest design tools.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and research new product ideas and refine existing designs.
- Create and modify 3D models in SolidWorks within a PDM environment.
- Produce 2D drawings, bills of materials and comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and generate safety and compliance reports.
- Support marketing with product renders and animations.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in an engineering design environment.
- Strong passion for industrial product design and innovation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently when required.
Required skills
- SolidWorks (including Premium)
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Revit
- 3D printing facilities
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- PDM environment usage
What we offer
- Salary range £40,000 – £45,000 per year.
- Bonus scheme.

- Standard Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm working hours.
