Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Penrith)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market‑leading manufacturing business in Penrith. Working a 4‑on/4‑off shift (2 days, 2 nights), you will maintain a range of fully automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned preventative maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Perform pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a factory environment.
• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Proven mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Hands‑on mechanical fault‑finding experience.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment; UK experience is desirable.
