About the role
The Mental Health Practitioner will join the East Dunbartonshire Community Mental Health Team, providing specialist ADHD assessments and low‑level psychological therapies within a multidisciplinary NHS setting.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out ADHD assessments and monitor medication and treatment for a small caseload, working closely with a psychiatrist.
- Deliver low‑level psychological therapies to individuals and groups.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team while also working autonomously.
- Support junior staff and student nurses and contribute to overall team functioning.
Required profile
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (1st level) with the NMC.
- Minimum three years of post‑graduate experience in mental health.
- Full, valid driving licence for travel across East Dunbartonshire.
Required skills
- Proficiency in conducting ADHD assessments.
- Ability to monitor psychiatric medication and treatment plans.
- Experience delivering low‑level psychological therapies.
