About the role
The Midday Supervisory Assistant supports pupils during the school lunch period, ensuring a safe, happy and inclusive environment. Working 5 hours each weekday, you will be a key member of the school community, helping children enjoy their meals and playtime.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and outdoor play areas during lunch.
- Assist children while they eat and engage in play, promoting positive behaviour.
- Help set up the dining area before lunch and tidy it afterwards.
- Carry out light cleaning duties and maintain a hygienic environment.
Required profile
- Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work well with children of various ages.
- Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
- Willingness to follow training and school policies.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Effective communication with pupils and staff.
What we offer
- Permanent part‑time contract (5 hours per week).
- Hourly rate of £12.85, Dorset Grade pay point 3.
