Migration & Modernization Business Development Manager

About the role

NetApp helps organizations modernize their data infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while keeping control, security, governance and flexibility. The Migration & Modernization Business Development Manager creates demand, builds a qualified pipeline and accelerates growth across EMEA and LATAM. It is a strategic business development role focused on market opportunities, customers and partners, with success measured by pipeline creation, opportunity progression and bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Own the pipeline generation strategy for Migration & Modernization across EMEA/LATAM and identify target accounts based on triggers such as infrastructure refreshes, end-of-life technologies, cloud migrations, virtualization changes, regulatory initiatives and data centre transformation.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and Partners on campaigns, workshops, executive engagements and assessments, and build executive-level relationships with customers.
• Grow business with existing customers and drive net-new business through migration events, competitive displacement and transformation programmes.
• Create migration and modernization value propositions and repeatable go-to-market plays covering hybrid cloud, data centre modernization, workload mobility, virtualization, sovereignty, compliance and consumption-based models.
• Equip Client Executives, Systems Engineers and Partner teams with the tools and messaging to find and qualify opportunities, and support strategic deals with business cases and competitive positioning.
• Build joint migration and modernization programmes with hyperscalers, systems integrators, managed service providers and cloud providers, and drive partner-sourced pipeline.

Required profile

• 8+ years in Business Development, Strategic Sales, Go-to-Market, Cloud Transformation or Infrastructure Modernization.
• Proven track record of generating pipeline and influencing revenue growth in enterprise technology environments.
• Experience building target account strategies and presenting business cases to CIOs and CFOs.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel across EMEA/LATAM; additional European languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• Hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, data infrastructure, virtualization, cloud migration and modernization strategies.
• Preferred: experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, and knowledge of DORA, NIS2 and data residency requirements.
