Military Area Manager – Fulfilment Operations

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Military Area Manager to lead a fulfilment centre team in Dartford. This hands‑on position is designed for candidates with military experience or a military family background who want to transition into the private sector. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, productivity and quality across your shift while delivering the fast‑paced service Amazon customers expect.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the site.
• Analyse performance data and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Lead and develop a diverse team, handling administrative duties and fostering a strong team culture.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with other managers to standardise shift procedures.
• Monitor inventory flow and support timely order fulfilment.

Required profile

• Military service experience or close connection (spouse/child) with a desire to work in a civilian environment.
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast‑moving operational setting.
• Strong analytical mindset with focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
