Minor Connections Project Manager – Aberdeen

About the role

SSEN Distribution is seeking a Minor Connections Project Manager to lead new projects across its Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire operational area. The role combines office‑based work in Aberdeen with flexible home‑working, requiring up to 50% of the week on site.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe delivery of projects to programme, cost and quality targets using robust project systems.
• Lead key programme outputs, managing internal and external stakeholders and coordinating with design, engineering, planning, environmental and consent teams.
• Support customers and delivery partners, facilitating site meetings and ensuring efficient project progress.
• Drive profitability through excellent customer service and identify improvement opportunities.
• Apply Safety Management Systems, CDM regulations and governance processes to all projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in people and customer management with a track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines, quality and cost targets with accurate reporting.
• Experience developing project programmes, cost plans and resource schedules.
• Working knowledge of a regulated environment, preferably electricity or utilities; LV, 11kV and 33kV network experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and CDM requirements.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel; company vehicle provided where policy criteria are met.
