About the role

We are seeking a CTA‑qualified Mixed Tax Manager to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Hitchin. The role offers a blend of corporate and personal tax work, combining compliance responsibilities with advisory projects for owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and self‑assessment returns.
• Deliver advisory services including restructures, tax planning and efficiency projects.
• Handle HMRC correspondence and resolve technical queries.
• Identify planning opportunities across the client base.
• Support and mentor junior staff within the office.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• CTA qualification (essential).
• Strong experience in both corporate and personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to deliver advisory work alongside compliance.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and collaborative.
• Experience reviewing work and developing junior team members.
