About the role
Stirling Dynamics is seeking a Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join its Simulation and Control team in Bristol. You will work on mathematical models of dynamic systems across sectors such as marine, aerospace, eVTOL and training simulators, supporting design, validation and control development.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high‑fidelity models in MATLAB/Simulink for equipment and system design studies.
- Run simulation analyses to validate requirements, derive system specifications and support root‑cause investigations.
- Create and document control and monitoring algorithms for various platforms.
- Produce technical reports, model description documents and analysis summaries for internal and client use.
- Collaborate with technical leads, contribute to best‑practice modelling processes and represent the company in client meetings.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
- Experience with industrial modelling and simulation projects, preferably using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
