Multifamily Groundskeeper

About the role

The Groundskeeper contributes to a high standard of resident experience through waste management, cleaning, minor repairs, decoration and maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment. The role sits within the Community team and involves working with the facilities team to keep the site clean and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a seamless waste management operation: check the bin chute system regularly, swap waste bins as needed, keep bin rooms, bins and routes clean, prepare bins for collection and segregate recycling according to local authority rules.
• Support the electronic maintenance reporting system so tasks are completed to a high standard and within time scales, and support the facilities team with property maintenance and records in line with Greystar policies.
• Attend calls outside office hours with the facilities team, refer to contractors where needed, and carry out minor repairs, decoration and maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and maintain common areas such as refuse and recycling facilities, and keep the gardens and grounds clean, tidy and hazard-free, liaising with external contractors.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers carrying out minor works, assist with community works, events and meetings, and accompany external contractors on site in line with access and accommodation policies.
• Assist the Community Manager and Facilities Manager with key management and security, and support annual compliance and insurance checks.
• Keep statutory testing records up to date with the facilities team, follow safety guidelines, and report incidents or accidents to the managers using the correct documentation.
