Multi‑Skilled Repairs & Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Repairs & Maintenance Technician to join a purpose‑driven housing organisation. You will be responsible for delivering day‑to‑day repairs and minor works across a regional residential portfolio, ensuring safe, high‑quality homes for tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out repairs across multiple trades – carpentry, plumbing, plastering, masonry and general maintenance.
• Conduct whole‑house inspections, diagnose maintenance issues and capture stock condition data.
• Prepare schedules of work for larger repairs and support senior surveying colleagues.
• Complete work safely, efficiently and to a high standard while adhering to health and safety requirements.
• Engage directly with tenants, providing a respectful, customer‑focused service.
• Complete risk assessments and ensure compliance with building regulations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in carpentry or plumbing, plus a second trade at Level 2.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a multi‑skilled maintenance role.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel across a regional patch.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
