Multiskilled Tradesperson – Construction & Maintenance

About the role

Plessey is looking for a practical and reliable Multiskilled Tradesperson to join its Construction & Maintenance team. The role supports refurbishment projects and day‑to‑day maintenance across the company’s facilities, requiring a broad range of trade skills and a hands‑on approach.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and refurbishment tasks across the site.
• Perform painting and decorating works, including surface preparation, finishing and snagging.
• Support basic carpentry, plumbing and building maintenance tasks as required.
• Assist skilled trades during refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Execute repairs, replacements and minor installations to keep plant running.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment and follow all health & safety procedures.
• Report defects, material needs and completed work to line management.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or certifications across multiple trade disciplines.
• General maintenance experience in industrial, commercial or building environments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage a varied workload.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols in high‑tech environments.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements, including safe isolation, LOTO, permit‑to‑work and dynamic risk assessments.
