NEET Tutor – 1:1 Support for Young People

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking compassionate tutors to deliver up to 10‑15 hours of one‑to‑one tuition each week for 11‑19‑year‑olds in Buckinghamshire who are NEET or at risk of disengagement. The role focuses on re‑engaging learners, rebuilding confidence and supporting progression into education, training or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 sessions in homes, libraries or community venues.
• Tailor learning activities to functional skills, core subjects or life‑skills based on each learner’s needs.
• Monitor progress and report outcomes to the Learning Delivery Team.
• Support learners with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and attendance issues.

Required profile

• Experience working with NEET or disengaged young people.
• Ability to deliver personalised learning in a face‑to‑face setting.
• Relevant qualification (QTS, PGCE, Functional Skills, Youth Work or similar) is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
