Neighbourhood Housing Officer – St Helens

About the role

The role involves managing a designated housing patch in St Helens, delivering high‑quality tenancy and neighbourhood services for a leading social housing provider. You will work Monday to Friday on‑site, ensuring safe, sustainable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated housing patch, providing tenancy and neighbourhood management services.
• Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, anti‑social behaviour, fraud, and unauthorised occupation.
• Conduct home visits, tenancy audits, starter tenancy reviews, estate inspections and accompanied viewings.
• Support tenancy sustainment through needs assessments, safeguarding referrals and partnership working with internal and external agencies.
• Build positive relationships with tenants, residents and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with housing legislation and policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation and anti‑social behaviour case management.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and deliver tenancy sustainment interventions.
• Excellent communication, organisational and case‑management abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
