Night Receptionist

About the role

Jumeirah Carlton Tower, a luxury hotel in Knightsbridge, London, is looking for a Night Receptionist. The role covers night-time reception duties, including greeting guests, handling check-ins and assisting with luggage.

Key responsibilities

• Greet all guests at any time in a friendly and helpful manner, and try to learn and use each guest's name.
• Register arriving guests, obtaining full details on the registration form according to established procedures.
• Assist guests to their rooms on check-in, explain and try to sell and cross-sell the hotel's food and beverage facilities, and explain room facilities such as heating, television and hairdryer.
• Assist guests with luggage.
• Enter check-in and check-out details accurately in the computer, correcting spelling and room rates carefully.
• Ensure the hotel's credit policy is followed, especially regarding "chance guests".
• Make reservations when the Reservations office cannot do so.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and appearance towards guests and colleagues.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person and by telephone.
• Ability to work cohesively with colleagues within and outside your department.
• Availability to work weekends, days, evenings and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Opera Cloud is preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple computer software programs and input information accurately.
