Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Saffron Walden

About the role

We are seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide 24‑hour inpatient care at Mercer & Hughes Veterinary Surgeons in Saffron Walden. The role offers a focused nursing environment with no overnight telephone duties, allowing you to concentrate on patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical inpatients throughout night shifts.
• Maintain accurate patient records and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with the on‑call veterinarian for clinical support.
• Ensure the clinic’s night environment remains safe, clean, and well‑stocked.

Required profile

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with RCVS registration.
• Passion for inpatient and emergency nursing.
• Willingness to work night patterns (ideally 7 nights on, 14 nights off).
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
