Night Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

About the role

Holdingham Specialist, a purpose-built specialist service for young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, is recruiting a Night Support Worker in Sleaford. The role works 35 hours per week at £12.95 per hour, rising to £13.20 per hour for work in the complex service. Full training and ongoing support are provided, and sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support with personal care and daily living tasks
• Teach and encourage independent living skills
• Administer and support with medication
• Support structured routines and positive behaviour support plans
• Facilitate community-based activities such as swimming, social events and leisure activities
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans

Required profile

• Warm, approachable, patient, resilient, kind, compassionate and understanding
• Confident in supporting individuals with complex needs
• Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Carer, or a background in retail, hospitality, warehouse cleaning, customer service or administration; full training is provided
• Enhanced DBS check required
