Non-Medical Prescriber – Substance Misuse (Lancaster)

About the role
This contract position is based in Lancaster and focuses on prescribing and managing opiate and alcohol substitute treatments for patients with substance misuse needs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective medication use while supporting the development of the prescribing clinic.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and amend prescriptions for opiate and alcohol substitute therapies and related medications.
- Lead the development of the prescribing clinic, acting as the primary contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and best practice.
Required profile
- Current NMC registration (RGN or RMN) with prescriber qualification.
- Post‑registration experience as a Non‑Medical Prescriber in substance misuse.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
