Non-Nuclear Infrastructure Control Officer

About the role

Babcock is recruiting a Non-Nuclear Infrastructure Control Officer for its Devonport Royal Dockyard site in Plymouth. The role coordinates and controls infrastructure activities across a complex engineering environment, working with operational, maintenance and engineering teams so that work is planned, authorised and delivered safely and in line with site governance requirements. It is full time, 35 hours per week and based on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance, engineering and operational activities associated with non-nuclear infrastructure assets
• Manage permit-to-work, isolation and work control arrangements to deliver work safely and compliantly
• Monitor work activities against site procedures, governance requirements and safe systems of work
• Support operational, maintenance and engineering teams to keep infrastructure available and performing well
• Work with multiple stakeholders to plan, schedule and control infrastructure activities

Required profile

• HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience in a relevant engineering environment
• Knowledge of engineering, facilities management, infrastructure or maintenance environments
• Experience applying site procedures, standards or governance requirements in a regulated environment
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and competing priorities, and to work with operational, maintenance and engineering stakeholders
• Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance; eligibility may depend on place of birth, nationality, citizenship and residency
