Nursery Teacher – Maternity Cover (Ealing, Sep Start)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nursery Teacher to join a one‑form entry primary school in Ealing for a one‑term maternity cover starting in September. The role is based in the Early Years department and offers the chance to work in a supportive, well‑organised environment with strong leadership and a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Take full class‑teaching responsibility for the nursery group.
• Support children’s communication, language development and early numeracy.
• Create a calm, positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with support staff, leadership and families to promote social and emotional development.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS or nursery settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and positive classroom management.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice and child welfare.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
