Optometrist – Up to £70k + Bonuses in Aldershot

About the role

Specsavers in Aldershot is seeking a motivated Optometrist to join a busy, patient‑focused team. Whether you are newly qualified or have years of experience, you will deliver high‑quality eye care while developing your clinical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Prescribe and dispense spectacles and contact lenses.
• Utilise advanced clinical equipment, including OCT, to diagnose ocular conditions.
• Provide professional advice on eye health, preventive care and visual aids.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with GOC standards.
• Participate in continuous professional development and support team training.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Qualified Optometrist – open to both newly qualified and experienced candidates.
• Ambitious, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to pursue further specialisations such as WOPEC, paediatric accreditation or independent prescribing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and other clinical eye‑care technology.
