Outreach Tutor (1:1) – Flexible Part‑time in Wells

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking Outreach Tutors to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition to young people in Wells who currently have no school placement. You will re‑engage disengaged learners, rebuild confidence and provide a structured learning routine.
Key responsibilities
- Create, plan and deliver tailored lessons that bridge gaps in each pupil’s education.
- Provide one‑to‑one support in the community or at the pupil’s home, adapting timings to family needs.
- Monitor progress closely and work with Prospero Teaching to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Help pupils transition back into mainstream education when ready.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven UK classroom teaching experience.
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional child‑related references.
Required skills
What we offer
- Part‑time hours (6‑15 hours per week per student) with flexible scheduling.
- Hourly rate of £25‑£30.
- Support from Prospero Teaching to monitor pupil progress.
