Outsourcing Supervisor

About the role

The Outsourcing Supervisor will join a director‑led accountancy practice, delivering high‑quality management accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients. You will act as the primary client contact, ensuring accurate month‑end reporting, VAT returns and insightful financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of outsourcing clients and serve as the main point of contact.
• Prepare and review management accounts, VAT returns and month‑end reports.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary to support client decision‑making.
• Oversee bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise, support and develop junior team members.
• Lead client meetings, respond to queries promptly and maintain strong relationships.
• Support implementation and use of cloud accounting systems and digital tools.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and enhanced reporting.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA part‑qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience in management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT or outsourced finance roles.
• Proven ability to review work and mentor junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
