About the role

Connells Group is seeking a Qualified Trainee Mortgage & Protection Advisor to join the Austin & Wyatt branch in Southampton. This entry‑level position is ideal for a CeMAP‑qualified individual who wants to launch or develop a career in mortgage and protection advice, benefitting from industry‑leading training and high‑quality leads.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with estate agency colleagues to generate referrals.
• Support customers throughout the mortgage and protection application process.
• Develop advisory knowledge through coaching and structured training.
• Deliver excellent customer service while meeting performance targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and maximise referral potential.

Required profile

• Full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong customer service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ambitious, motivated and eager to grow a career in financial services.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a target‑driven environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
