Painter & Decorator

About the role

Smart Managed Solutions is hiring a skilled Painter & Decorator to work on a state-of-the-art building in the City of London. The role supports facilities operations, performing routine maintenance and reactive repairs such as painting, decorating and DIY projects, and working closely with the engineering team. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, days only, 07:00-16:00.

Key responsibilities

• Painting and decorating tasks, mixing paint colours with colour charts and formulas and applying multiple coats to a smooth, even finish.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel or other finishes with brushes, rollers or sprayers.
• Carry out PPM checks and other maintenance tasks when required.
• Assist the wider engineering team and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Handle equipment and stock safely, and use ladders, scaffolding and safety equipment correctly.
• Manage consumable stock, tools and equipment.

Required profile

• An experienced fabric engineer or painter and decorator.
• Ability to work in a busy City of London building, following health and safety principles.
