Pallet Repair & Maintenance Operative

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Pallet Repair & Maintenance Operative to join a busy logistics operation in Purfleet. The role is full‑time temporary, working rotating 6am‑2pm or 2pm‑10pm shifts, and offers £14 per hour plus holiday pay and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect pallets and identify damage or defects.
• Repair pallets using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic equipment.
• Replace damaged timber components and perform quality checks.
• Support daily production targets in a fast‑moving environment.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.
• Assist with pallet sorting, movement, loading and unloading.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production or maintenance setting.
• Confidence using hand and power tools safely.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Own transport is essential due to location and shift times.
