Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

Templegate Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established independent financial planning firm in Chelmsford. The Paraplanner will work closely with directors and advisers to deliver high‑quality suitability reports, conduct technical research and provide compliance‑focused support throughout the advice process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality suitability reports covering pensions, investments and protection.
• Conduct technical research and financial planning analysis to support advisers.
• Analyse existing client arrangements and provide recommendations in line with FCA regulations.
• Research products, providers and investment solutions using industry tools.
• Liaise with providers to obtain illustrations, valuations and technical information.
• Assist with annual client reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Adviser practice.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or progressing towards it).
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection products.
• Experience preparing suitability reports and using Intelliflo or similar systems.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Quilter and Transact.
