About the role
Dalhousie University is seeking a part‑time academic to teach the course INTD 2001.03 – Global Justice and Development I during the fall term of the 2026‑27 academic year. The appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026 and includes teaching, grading, and course administration.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and tutorials for INTD 2001.03.
- Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments.
- Manage course administration, including record‑keeping and communication with students.
- Provide two hours per week of student consultation outside class time.
- Report to the Chair of the International Development Studies (IDS) Department.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in International Development Studies or a closely related discipline.
- Research and teaching expertise focused on South Asia.
- Prior teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
- Canadian citizens or permanent residents are given priority.
