About the role
We are looking for a compassionate, creative individual to join a specialist SEND school in Wandsworth as a Part‑Time Teaching Assistant for KS2 pupils. The role starts as soon as possible and offers 2‑3 days per week in a therapeutic, child‑centred environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support KS2 pupils with a range of special educational needs in class and during creative learning activities.
- Use art, music, play and sensory approaches to help children express themselves and build confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and wellbeing support.
- Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional regulation through engaging, meaningful experiences.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN or in a therapeutic/creative setting (school experience desirable).
- Creative mindset with interest or skills in art, music, drama, play or sensory activities.
- Patient, caring and positive approach to supporting diverse needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Reliability and enthusiasm for a collaborative, nurturing environment.
